  • School

School is about to start next week and I'm honestly not really ready for it to begin. I know what I have to do and what hard work I have to put in to finish this semester strong. I'm really hoping for a 4.0 this semester, which might be hard since I'm taking 16 credit hours.

I'm glad that I met some really great people at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU). We all know that we have to finish the semester strong. I am also truly amazed at how my hard work is paying off. Struggling financially and keeping up my grades is hard. I'm just glad that I have made it this far. I know that with hard work good things come from it. My goal by the spring semester is to make it on the Dean's List at my school. I'm thinking about endorsing in Special Education since some of my friends think it's a great idea and it will provide more job opportunities.

My brother is moving into my condo which should be interesting. My brother and I were talking and we decided that we're going to take several road trips to New York. I'm so excited Well that's all for now. I'll talk to you out there later

  • I love all my friends and family... they mean the world to me. To everyone that I have known and have gotten to known, I'm grateful to call you my friend. Life to me means enjoying it. Yes small things can hinder us from enjoying life, but we have to overcome that. Live life everyday to the fullest as if it were your last. With that said...

I'm learning that people will always talk behind your back. If they're true friends they wouldn't do so. I don't care what you have to say to others behind my back because that just shows me that you're too coward to tell me to my face. I'm not being cocky or egoistical, but I love myself for who I am. Some may ask why I'm still in school? Well because I screwed up in life and I acknowledge that. The past is in the past. My eye is set on graduating even if I have to endure endless nights of studying just to finish. I love myself and my friends/family. I can care less to those who talk about me. Talk all you want. I believe it's wrong to judge or talk about someone when you haven't even met them yet. I would never be friends with someone who's other friends don't like me before they even got to know me. I may have an opinion, but I speak my mind.

I'm tired of people talking shit about me. If you have something to say about me to your friends back, then have the nerve to tell me to my face. I just needed to vent.... sorry

  • California

I'm loving California so much except for the dry heat. Everyday I've been here with my parents since Saturday we've been eating at buffets. Not going to lie, I love buffets but not four days straight. I miss all my friends back in Chicago. If you want to see some pictures, you can look on my Facebook account and look at them there. There's way too many pictures I have taken. I guess when I have time or when I'm bored, I'll upload more pictures on here.

Today my parents and I on top of the mountain in Palm Springs which was amazing. I was taking back by how wonderful the view was. After we went to the mountain top ride, we went to the outlet mall which is about a 20-minute drive. We were only there for about 30-minutes. I went to Barneys New York Outlet which I didn't really like. Then I went to Armani Exchange and bought two shirts for under $40. Last place I went was to Coach Outlet. I bought two wallets at Coach which I can't wait to start to use. Today was just a relaxing day. Before the day started I went out tanning by the poolside. I only went tanning for about 30 minutes until I started to sweat really bad. But I did get a tan

I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. I know I will. I'll be going on a bus tour to San Diego and Mexico. I can't wait. Its been three years since I've been there and I want to see, if any, how it's changed. I still know where some things are in San Diego. I really have a craving for fish tacos and I want to stop by where I stayed at three years ago. I know that my parents and especially me want to go to Fashion Valley.

  • California Adventure

I'm loving California so much! It kind of sucks that the resort that I'm staying at with my parents doesn't have free wireless... so I'm paying $40 for the week.... so please make it worth it. The weather out here is about 105 degrees every day. It's dry heat which is affecting my sore throat. There are days I have my voice... but then there are days I'm struggling just to talk. People feel sad for me because I don't have a voice, but hey it's alright.

Here are some pictures from my trip to Los Angeles There was wonderful weather and I had a lot of fun. Tomorrow (Monday) I'm going to Las Vegas with my family. I'm loving my family and this vacation. Right now it's a lot of fun but I'm not used to this weather. Hope you like the pictures.

  • Well the next week I'm going to be busy working... I have about 38 hours plus getting paid on commission. I'm so excited Also, next week I'll be going to California with my parents. It should be fun and it'll be relaxing. My summer grade came in for my Sociological Analysis class, and I got a C in the class. It brought down my GPA but I still have a 3.33 GPA. I told myself I will never get anything lower than a 3.0 GPA while I'm at Northeastern Illinois University. After this fall, I will only have two semesters left until I can graduate When I graduate... there's going to be a massive party and everyone will be invited to come... well not everyone, just certain people. I can't wait! I'm already making an invitation list to it... I'm still wondering where I will have it. Either at my house in the burbs or at a hotel that one of my mom's friend's own. Still questioning, but it'll be so much fun to see everyone there.
I'm also planning for my birthday, which is in October. I sent out invitations on Facebook already but if you didn't get one and would like to come, let me know because the more the merrier. I want to celebrate it with people and plus I'm going to be 25!! so old.

Well I'm going to head out... enjoy the music

  • Vacation

I'm so glad that my summer class is finally over... my Sociological Analysis class that is. It was such a hard class and so much work to do in that class. I just hope I get my B in the class. If not, I'll live with a C even though I haven't gotten one since attending NEIU.

I'm going on vacation with my parents in July... and I'm so pumped. My mother told me that we're staying at a 5-star resort, which I'm planning to do all my relaxation. We're going to CALIFORNIA!!! My mother told me that we're staying five minutes outside of Palm Springs... but we're going to San Diego and Los Angeles. I'm so excited

I told my parents that for the first night while we're in California, I'm going to cook them dinner to show my appreciation to them. Since living on my own, I've learned how to cook and survive I love living on my own and being independent. My brother is moving in with me sometime next month or by August. I'm hoping to get a small dog in August for my condo from the Humane Society. I can't wait... We'll I'm done for now..... Love you all

  • Can't wait until I go on vacation with my family. Its going to be so much fun... it's like I'm going to be their tour guide kinda. Half the time I'll be with my parents, but the other half of the week I'll be helping my brother and his girlfriend with dog sitting.... so excited Another thing I'm looking forward to is see my best friend, Jill and going to her graduation party. We've been practically best friends for about seven years now and it's been amazing. She's so fun to hang out with, especially shopping or going to the clubs.

On another note... finals are coming up for summer classes and I just found out that I need a 95% on my final just to get a B in the class. If I get a C in the class, my GPA will go from 3.50 to a 3.33, which is alright but I haven't gotten a C this year and I want to keep it that way. To get on the Dean's List at my school, I'm going to need a 3.80 out of 4.00 in a semester just to get on the list... so hopefully next semester (Fall 2007) I can get a 3.80.

Ending on this... why do people have to use other people's families just to get to one person? Why cause so much drama trying to make yourself look better? That doesn't make sense

  • Summer school

I can't believe that my summer class is almost over... well next week that is. Hopefully I'll get my B in the class, but if not I'll settle for a C in my Sociological Analysis class.

On a happier note, my parents want to go to NYC in July and I'm actually going to be their pseudo-tour guide. Its going to be an amazing trip because I get to see Cody (my brother and his girlfriend's dog) and I get to have fun hanging out with my family, including my brother. That's what I'm really looking forward to. It'll be a nice relaxation week.

Please pray that I make it through this week and next week.... I'm stressing out just a bit

  • Life = Fun?

While I was at church on Sunday, the message was about having fun. The teaching pastor told the audience that there is a time to be sad and mourn, but there is a time to be happy and have fun. Most people think that Christians don't like to have fun.... that's not true. I'm a Christian and I love having fun, whether its by myself singing and dancing in the car or having fun with my family and friends. I've been going through some rough things in my life, which most of you know about. When I was at service, I felt as though the pastor was talking directly to me. Even if we're going through some tough times right now, we still need to have fun.

Four points the pastor said during his sermon --
    1. We have forgotten how to have fun.
    2. God calls us to have fun.
    3. Having fun is good for you.
    4. Go have fun in Jesus' name.

Go out and have fun. Don't take everything so seriously. If someone just recently passed away, don't cry because they're gone but smile from all the great and fun memories you had with them. If you lost a friendship, smile at all the fun things you both did. Life is about taking chances and having fun. There's a time to cry, but there's a time to have fun with people you care about around you.

Read Ecclesiastes 3.... there's a time for everything.

Or download this song on iTunes called "Turn! Turn! Turn! (to Everything There Is A Season) by The Byrds. The lyrics are below.

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven

A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven

A time of war, a time of peace
A time of love, a time of hate
    A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time of peace, I swear it's not too late!
